The Mataram University Research Ethics Commission is an independent unit under the University of Mataram in charge of conducting a study of the ethical worthiness of every research proposal involving human and animal subjects proposed, which is intended to maintain the rights, dignity, security and welfare of each research subject and ensure that the research subjects are treated humanely.
